Your nervous system isn’t a problem to fix. It’s a story of what you’ve been through - and how you’ve tried to keep yourself safe.

About

Hi, I’m Claudia Geils, a Clinical Psychologist based in Melbourne. I am consulting at WellSpace Psychology (Prahran) on Tuesday and Wednesday face to face and Telehealth. I also offer Telehealth only on a Monday. I work with adults and young people experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety, stress, OCD, depression, ADHD, trauma (including early life trauma and unmet emotional needs), self-esteem concerns, perfectionism, and emotional regulation challenges. I primarily work with individuals aged 16 to 35 years of age.

My therapeutic style is calm, grounded, and client-focused. I strive to create a space where people feel safe, understood, and supported - an environment that allows for meaningful reflection and change. I am committed to tailoring therapy to each individual’s unique needs, values, and goals, and I place strong emphasis on collaboration throughout the process.

My practice is informed by a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), schema-informed work, and mindfulness-based strategies. I also have training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), which can be particularly helpful in working with trauma.

I value continued learning and thoughtful, responsive care. Whether you are new to therapy or returning after some time, I aim to meet you with respect, clarity, and a strong focus on what matters most to you.
